This business has been trading since the 1960’s, originally as a petrol filling station owned by Shell. It ceased to sell petrol in the late 60’s and was converted to a car sales site. It then traded as WFS until 1996 when the owner of the family run business decided to retire.
The site was purchased by the current owners in May 1996 and has gone from strength to strength trading as Winchester Car Sales. A new showroom was built and opened in May 2005 and now all service and repair facilities are in house. Winchester Car Sales have also received planning permission for an MOT bay will hopefully be opened in 2006.
The family owned business still prides itself on the friendly no pressure way in which it treats its customers. Their motto is:
‘large enough to cope but small enough to care’.
Selling is carried out in a friendly caring atmosphere and their aim is to give the best possible part exchange valuation and the best possible deal to suite the customer.
